“I use my art like a personal diary, tapping into themes that may be niche or taboo to others but for me have been my whole life.Things like mental health, queerness, girl hood, trauma and all the little details of life that make it worth living. In turn, each artwork is a piece of me that I get to share with my audience. The main mediums I use for my practice are different forms of paint (e.g acrylic, gouache and watercolour), fine liner pens and graphite.

Often times on a smaller scale and in multiples, trying to tell a full story with each artwork or collection. With my focus mainly being on things like blending and details, even if it means you may have to look closer to see them all, it's a labour of love. Every pose, flower or colour is chosen with symbolism or personal connection in mind. Because of this I feel like my artwork is unique in its own right, even if I sometimes draw from previously explored ideas.

"SOMETIMES" is inspired by the song 'sometimes (backwood)' by Gigi Perez. It's a piece I made to explore the way that despite being in a relationship you can feel like you're not worthy of it or that you selfishly wish you had more of it. The song is heartbreakingly filled with longing for something you could already have and I wanted to try and capture that emotion through this artwork.

It's important to me because it's a piece that I think explains how I've felt in relationships in the past as a mentally ill person.”
