<image:title>Articles - REVIEW: CRASSIE TOYS (18+) - “Living in a Court of Thorns and Roses”</image:title>
<image:caption>This toy is something else. From the moment I held it, I could tell this wasn’t your average dildo. The outer layer is ultra-soft and squishy, while the rigid, bendable core gives you complete control over the angle, it stays exactly how you set it. Whether using it solo or with the Crassie harness, it just fits. It bends to your body, your angles, and your connection, making every session feel intentional and satisfying. Using it honestly made me feel like I was living in a Court of Thorns and Roses, dramatic, sensual, and completely immersive. Available in two sizes, this dildo is perfect for exploring, experimenting, or just indulging in your own fairy-tale fantasies. Squishy where it should be, firm where you need it, and bendable exactly how you want. Love, love, love, love.</image:caption>

<image:title>Articles - catfight - this generation’s “it” lesbian short film, by tara devi - “We intentionally filmed the amount of effort and power we were putting into our punches. We weren't going light, we were really putting a lot of energy and a lot of passion, and it was important to showcase that visually. In the lead up to us finally having contact in the ring, the way we touched the boxing bag in order to get a good look at each other was something me and Grace really put intention behind, and taking every moment that we had to look at each other as much as possible, so the intensity carried through to our audience.”</image:title>

<image:title>Articles - catfight - this generation’s “it” lesbian short film, by tara devi - Tara [Director]: “It was a combination of things, but boxing was definitely the main element in making it not soft, because boxing is a fighting sport, so it automatically and by nature isn't soft, right? But also I've seen so many different lesbian pieces of media where they were directed by a man, made by a man, done through a man's eye, and somehow it always comes across... girly or soft or too stereotypical. It almost reminds me of porn directed by men, where queer women are featured. Men who make porn of two women is always going to be different than if it's a sexual piece that is made by women who actually love women. You can always tell the difference, and it directly translates into film it just like it translates into everything. The authenticity that undeniably comes when a queer woman directs something involving queer women is so special, I wanted to portray how women are naturally. Not every woman is soft and not every woman has to have 100% of femininity. People being who they are and humans being the way they are is the most beautiful thing and portraying something to be softer, portraying something to be more vulnerable or feminine is not always the reality. In real life, not every woman is that soft ideal that, you know, certain men have or the way that the women have generally been portrayed in media.”</image:title>

<image:title>Articles - catfight - this generation’s “it” lesbian short film, by tara devi - Grace: “Some of the moments were super special in that aspect. One of my favorites was a really short clip where our hands, interlocked and my knuckles are super bloody. It was just really important to show that while we're fighting, it's still a really intimate, shared moment between us. And I'm on top, but we're doing this together, you know? So that was my favorite moment of softness that isn't really portrayed in a normal vulnerable way. And I think round three also has that, where we are both in our own corners and we’re kind of having that back and forth look. I think that's really vulnerable as well.” Blessing: “For me it was the moment before the kiss. The heavy panting, the breathing, the touch, you can very clearly see the vulnerability and the want that we had for each other that's built up over the couple rounds. That build up before the kiss is a big moment because you see just how that vulnerability has been morphed and changed from it being very aggressive in the couple rounds, to truly a release at the end.”</image:title>

<image:title>Articles - catfight - this generation’s “it” lesbian short film, by tara devi - Tara [Director]: “Honestly, it was kind of like a gamble for me because initially this whole thing started by watching Heated Rivalry, which is obviously hockey. I was trying to figure out what sport could be fun to portray a lesbian twist in and I thought about how boxing in general is quite a masculine sport, because of its male-dominated field, which intrigued me. But it was also the fact that it's a sport between two people. If we did football or Gaelic or another team sport, it wouldn’t be as intimate as two boxers fighting each other. I think we came upon boxing because it's one of the only sports that is super, super physical contact. It's the perfect way to display it. Also, the short amount of time that we have in a short film. With Heated Rivalry, they had a lot of time to build that up and incorporate the team, but this allowed us to do it pretty immediately to show the intimacy.”</image:title>

<image:title>Articles - catfight - this generation’s “it” lesbian short film, by tara devi - Grace: “Most of the time in lesbian relationships, I think you're nervous to talk to the person for the first time. There's a lot of stuff going through your head, and I like how there wasn't really an explicit conversation between Blessing and I, and instead, we drew it out as long as we could, you know? And I feel like that happens a lot in lesbian relationships when you're getting to know each other, and it made the dynamic so much more digestible and real.” Blessing: “I agree with Grace in that it just really represents that desire, hunger for a person, without even having to have a conversation because sometimes it's a lot of what you're communicating without even communicating that you want the person. You can feel the energy, you can feel the vibe that this person really wants you, but you're kind of like, where do I go next? So I can see it with how I'm winning in some scenes and then Grace has the power over me in some scenes so it's sort of like this dance between each other.”</image:title>

<image:title>Articles - catfight - this generation’s “it” lesbian short film, by tara devi</image:title>
<image:caption>Tara [Director]: “I mean, I think their athletic backgrounds definitely helped. I think people that don't have experience in this could have been casted, but it might have been more effort on the day to try and get them to swing correctly or kick correctly or do 27 push-ups in a row when we're trying to film one little scene. If the person wasn’t athletic, it'd be a lot harder for them to look a little bit more natural doing those push-ups, right? But outside of that and inside of acting, I know we did initially have this idea of having one more feminine presenting woman and one more masculine presenting woman just by the way they look, and then have both of them be going back and forth and have that equality between the two of them. We knew Grace was gonna be one of the people acting, and Blessing was the second person we were trying to look for. Funny enough, I reached out to Blessing and she was down, ready to go, but something popped up and we thought we were gonna have to find somebody else. We eventually did find somebody else, but it didn't feel right, so then when Blessing came back, I was so grateful. And I'm so happy that that happened because look at the way it turned out. It had to be them two, I think.”</image:caption>

<image:title>Articles - catfight - this generation’s “it” lesbian short film, by tara devi - Grace: “I think the way that we are portrayed differently physically, Blessing is very strong and then I thrive in dexterity. I thought that was really, really cool. With the kicking and the punching. Blessing during her push-ups, which she did 27 times for that scene. Really impressive. I definitely wanted to cast another person of color, which I really, really respect. I think it's amazing to have two women of color in a film like this. That was super important to me.” Blessing: “Yeah, even from the response, it was just great to see so many people happy to see stud representation, especially in media. Any time to put studs on the map and just highlight how complex we are with masculinity and femininity, that's huge for me. It was very nice to be, you know, the stud representation that I could be in that moment.”</image:title>

<image:caption>tara [Director]: “Desire is a raw feeling you can’t really fake or brush off, it’s a beautiful part of wanting someone, and it’s what makes the finale exciting. It’s a stepping stone that makes the chase so much more special.” grace: “This kind of reminds me of a sentence I read: I don’t need you soft and easy, I need you exactly as you are. Like tara said desire is raw and uncontrollable and authentic. That’s what it feels like to be queer and to fully embrace being a woman who unapologetically desires and craves other women!” blessing: “Desire is something that ignites you from within. It’s unfiltered, raw and hard to ignore. It’s a feeling where every fibre of your being craves to be deeply embraced by another woman!”</image:caption>

The careful navigation of boundaries is something lesbians are well versed in. From figuring out if that girl at the bar is straight or not, to how friendly the friendship with the ex should be.</image:title>
<image:caption>Whilst not every lesbian is perfect in the art of healthy communication (the first lesbian heartbreak stereotypes comes from somewhere), the interpersonal challenges that come with lesbianism often makes us more adept at respecting and setting boundaries. In fact, I would argue that the messiness of the first lesbian relationship, where there are no guidebooks outside of heteronormative norms, is a pivotal growing moment for many lesbians to learn the importance of communication and boundary-setting. And who has the most boundaries the human must navigate carefully at their peril? The cat.</image:caption>

<image:title>Articles - “LESBIANS AND CATS” - My first memory was communicating with my rabbits, I’d ask them to come to me and I could feel their pains as they got older and developed ailments. I grew up in the middle of nowhere with lots of different pets, ducks, chickens, ferrets, greyhounds, snakes, lizards, sugar gliders etc.</image:title>
<image:caption>I spent most my time outside communicating with the trees, wildlife, birds. I had very little human contact until I went to school, as there were only 7 other houses in the Hamlet we lived in and they were all old ladies mostly. I always knew animals were my calling and it was all I cared about for my future.</image:caption>

My whole family were totally unsupportive and worried about their own character being damaged when I began posting and promoting my Animal Communication as a business. I was told by a friend from my old job teaching job, (I taught Animal Sciences in an Agricultural college for 7 years before going self-employed) that they were all laughing at me and calling me delusional.</image:title>

<image:title>Articles - “lesbians that can't find their shells” - Butch and femme are not just labels - they are identities. They are the very essence of the lesbian existence to some of us. They are part of history, too. They are so powerful - that they literally “walked, so the AESTHETICS of butch/femme could run”. Some lesbians fought so hard while being butch or femme, so we could think of it all as non-bindingly and superficially as of today.</image:title>
<image:caption>Some researchers emphasize that to think of butch and femme as the lesbian equivalents of male and female is a great mischaracterization - rather than that “butch and femme transcend and radicalize traditional gender roles”².</image:caption>

<image:title>Articles - “lesbians that can't find their shells” - A lot of people also seem to have problems with the word “futch”, that evolved from the well-known “futch scale”, that has been going around the internet since forever. The internauts claim the scale to be extremely controversial, and while researching reddit i’ve found one answer that sums everything up perfectly:</image:title>
<image:caption>to put it simply, there is no scale. You can be Butch, you can be Femme, and you can be neither. There is no "less femme" or "less butch" it's an identity, not a way of presenting.”</image:caption>

<image:title>Articles - “Everything you need to know about queer and sapphic sex” - “Hahaha, look, not many people actually use them, but I can’t say they don’t exist. I was once taken by surprise when a patient told me it was the best thing she’d ever found because it really made her feel safe in preventing STIs during oral sex, and it truly changed her sexual experience in a positive way. As for how to suggest using them without killing the mood... well, I like to bring up the idea that a few decades ago, people might have wondered about using external condoms. Now there’s nothing more natural than condoms being handed out at parties, subway stations, and health clinics. There has been a shift in cultural acceptance, and I believe the same could happen with barrier methods designed for us. How to start... well, it costs nothing to ask. Today, there are some panties or underwear made of latex or that allow a latex barrier to be attached to them, which makes the whole situation more comfortable.”</image:title>

<image:title>Articles - “Everything you need to know about queer and sapphic sex” - “Strap-ons are a big deal in our community, and we need to know how to use them, how to care for them, and how to make sure this toy is a source of pleasure rather than infection or discomfort. So let’s get started: you’ll find strap-ons made from a variety of materials on the market (porous and non-porous), and how you care for them will depend on what they’re made of. The most commonly used material in sex toys is medical-grade silicone, a material that is safe, hypoallergenic, and works well with water-based lubricants. When people ask me where to start, I always recommend choosing the smallest size with as little texture as possible to avoid pain or discomfort during penetration. As you venture further into the world of strap-ons, you may feel more comfortable experimenting with different sizes, shapes, and textures. At first, if you’ve never used one before, it might feel a bit uncomfortable, but with patience and relaxation, that feeling soon passes and the experience becomes quite pleasurable. For this to happen, you and your partner need to be on the same page so that your time together is respected and doesn’t turn into a bad experience. Another topic we can’t overlook is choosing the right harness. Generally speaking, there are two types: comfortable panties and briefs versus very attractive (and sometimes uncomfortable) harnesses. So, we know there’s a lot of movement when using a strap-on, so comfort is essential! If you decide to use a harness, make sure the buckles don’t scratch your skin and that the material doesn’t cause chafing! Ideally, it’s important to use a condom if you’re using a strap-on, and always change it when you switch positions or partners! Finally, NEVER store your sex toy sealed in a plastic bag. That’s a surefire way to turn it into a breeding ground for bacteria and fungi. Wash it with soap and water, let it air dry at room temperature, and store it in a small box or cloth pouch. Long live the strap-on!”</image:title>

<image:title>Articles - “Everything you need to know about queer and sapphic sex” - “Absolutely not! There are many taboos surrounding discussions about our sexuality, but talking about the physical changes that affect our sexuality goes far beyond that, and that’s why it’s even more often silenced. Women who are in perimenopause, using testosterone, or have had their ovaries removed (which are responsible for our production of sex steroids) may notice a significant change in the condition of the vulva and vaginal lubrication, for example. This can have a direct physical impact, such as a feeling of dryness and aesthetic changes in the area. And these changes don’t come alone. Many people interpret this as a sign of aging, a loss of “expiration date,” or even, during intimate contact, as if there were no longer any interest in the partnership (due to difficulty with lubrication during an intimate moment, for example).”</image:title>

<image:title>Articles - “Everything you need to know about queer and sapphic sex” - “Well, here’s the story: In the 80s, a large-scale scientific study was conducted to assess the sex lives of north-american couples. At the time, the news that circulated was that lesbian couples reported having sex less frequently than other couples. However, over the years, several methodological flaws were pointed out, and right off the bat, we can question the very concept they had of sex, right? You see, various sexual practices are considered sex by us LGBTQIA+ people, which isn’t going to align with the “basic and cisheterosexual” definition of sex in the 1980s, you know? The reality is that it’s common, and even kinda expected, for couples (regardless of sexual orientation) in long-term relationships to notice a decrease in sexual frequency over time, but at the same time, an improvement in the quality of sex. Yes! After all, we spend more time with that same person and end up learning what works and what doesn’t (sexually speaking). It takes intention for sex to happen in a long-term relationship. We can’t just sit back and wait for something to magically happen! Girl, we have to go for it!”</image:title>

<image:title>Articles - “Everything you need to know about queer and sapphic sex” - “You know, I still notice that there’s a lot of transphobic language within the lesbian community, we gotta be honest about this. Especially when we talk about sexual practices. Well, we don’t typically fall in love or feel initially attracted to each other’s genitals, right? Imagine what dating apps would be like if that were the case (hello, Grindr). We all have a “sexual history” and preferences for certain specific sexual practices. When you’re in a relationship with a trans person, there may come a moment when you realize that, in that context, the sexual practice will be different due to this or that factor. And the truth is… when isn’t it? With every new person we get involved with, we experience new and different things. Why would this scenario be an exception? Of course, sometimes specific precautions will be necessary, such as contraception, so it’s important to seek information from reliable sources or a healthcare professional. Ultimately, open communication about your fears, desires, and boundaries is essential. And it’s okay to feel like you don’t quite know what you’re doing, cause sex should be fun, not a source of anxiety!”</image:title>

<image:title>Articles - “Everything you need to know about queer and sapphic sex” - “Hahaha, I consider that one hell of a blessing. It would be sad if we wanted more and one of the people involved physically couldn’t keep up... we’d end up in a stalemate (not that that’s necessarily a bad thing, haha). But yes, the main limiting factor that keeps us from having a sex marathon every time we have sex is physical exhaustion, not our ability to arouse each other and potentially have orgasms all night long. So if we don’t have a “finish line,” how do we determine that the sex was good? Well, that can mean different things to the same person over the course of their life. Good sex can be sex full of naughtiness, even if there’s no orgasm. Just as romantic, soul-connecting sex with an intense orgasm can be equally good.”</image:title>

<image:title>Articles - “Everything you need to know about queer and sapphic sex” - “I think that’s why we’ve increasingly been using terms like “sapphic” to refer to relationships between women, without limiting the term specifically to sexual orientation. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to sex education. All guidance on STI prevention and sexual health in general should be tailored to that person’s sexual practices (yes, we need to get into the details to know the best way to care for them!). Assuming that a person engages in a certain type of sexual practice based on their sexual orientation is a great way to reinforce stereotypes and miss an opportunity to provide adequate care.”</image:title>

And people don’t come with instruction manuals, so how are you going to teach her what feels good to you if you don’t know yourself? When you know what feels good to you, you pass that knowledge on to your partner, and she'll feel more confident knowing that you’ll tell her if it feels good or not. Besides teaching her how to give you pleasure, she’ll feel like a great sexual partner.”</image:caption>

<image:title>Articles - “Magic dyke” - An interview about Magic Mike’s hotter, gayer cousin - 3. What was the thought process behind having predominately masc dancers? Do you think this is something that is important to the show?</image:title>
<image:caption>Chiyo — “I think it's important to perform masculinity because masculinity is something that can be so toxic and so aggressive and it dominates the world in really tedious and oppressive ways. So I think for us to be able to take masculinity and make it camp and make it light and almost reclaim it as people who have this way that we resonate with masculinity within us.’ Jamie — “We’re all a unit, it’s great to create with other queer people and drag queens.”</image:caption>

<image:caption>Jamie — “The dressing room is actually usually very quiet and Zen, which I think people don’t expect, but it’s like the quiet before the storm of the show.” Chiyo — “I personally like to listen to true crime podcasts, because I fell like once you’re in the venue, the music is on and the vibes are high so I like to decompress my brain before I just go and basically do the opposite”</image:caption>

<image:title>Articles - THE ROSIE JONES INTERVIEW! - So I wanted to come out to everyone, not only for myself to go ‘this doesn’t define me but it is a big part of me’ but I also wanted to talk about being gay on stage because I never want another disabled young person to feel how I felt which was unworthy of love. So, like I said, big journey, a lot of therapy to get through that.</image:title>
<image:caption>I’m getting my perfect opportunity to wave that big therapy flag loud and proud. If you’re in a position to get it, absolutely do it! Everyone should have access to therapy. I need to say I’m 35 now and you’re never done. I constantly have to fight my internalised ableism and I have a lot of mental and physical wobbles where I think because of my disability I’m not capable and worthy of love but I can sit here now at 35 and go “Yep. I’m a human being. I’m proud to be queer, and yep I am absolutely worthy and capable of love.”</image:caption>

<image:caption>Yes. I will focus more on the sexual aspect to the nature world. I don’t love being cold so I reckon there will be less polar bear action and more like tropical birds, anywhere that can take me to the Caribbean will be the nature vibe. And what do you think the gayest animal is? Y’know what, cause I wanted to give you a proper answer but I can’t get away from a peacock. It’s what they do, they are the drag queens of the nature world. What I love is they’re walking saying “Don’t look at me,” but whats happening behind them is “You’re looking. And I like it.”</image:caption>

<image:title>Articles - “DYKES WHO GYM” - “My friends encouraged me to! I had been posting gym stuff on my "close friends" stories. I'd have friends from college, new friends, old friends, telling me they thought I'd be good at making fitness content. I am not someone who believes in myself easily, so to have friends believe so deeply in me got me started. At this point, I think my content is a mix of fitness and queer content, which I think is a direct reflection of myself. Before I am a bodybuilder, I am a lesbian, and I think it's important to have lesbian fitness creators who acknowledge and uplift the community that they are a part of.”</image:title>
<image:caption>In what ways is it important to help the LGBT community find their way through gym culture? “It's beyond important. The gym can be a hostile environment, especially to anyone who exists outside of cis-heteronormativity. But we deserve to be able to feel strong, to take care of our bodies, if we have the privilege to do so. Plus, the gym is expensive, and so is personal training. That's why I create the content I create; the internet is such a useful tool for beginning, and it's more relatable when it comes from a queer person.”</image:caption>

If I’m having a bad day I always feel better and more clear-minded after the gym.” Kady: “My main goal is to just be consistent. I feel like the gym space and culture makes it seem like you must workout like David Goggins every single day to be successful. I just go, push myself as much as I can, and step back when I need a break.” Ashley: “A huge goal I have is to see how much I can push myself. By next month i plan on getting to the 1,000 club no matter where I am now.” Mer: “My goals include building my upper body strength, flexibility and overall endurance. I want to push my body to the limit and create something beautiful as well as grow as an artist.” Korra: “Generally just to get out of house move my body and try to get my mood in a better place. As well talk to my other queer friends there. Plus dress up with pretty swimsuits.”</image:caption>

The trick is not looking at other people’s bodies at the gym and instead focus on your own health journey. You just need to become obsessed with yourself in the healthiest way.” Vic: “YES! I love my buff bod. I like to flex the guns. As an NB AFAB, I love to play into the masculine. I'm not fussed about losing weight - I actually kinda enjoy the dad bod I get when I'm bloated.” Hannah: “Yeah. A lot. I've struggled with how I look my entire adult life, not really understanding why the inside doesn't match the outside. And with constant barrage of how women should be and look, I felt like I was cos-playing and dressing up the whole time. Coming to terms with my queerness, finding a community of masc afabs, and a more general acceptance of muscular and strong women made me feel more confident to chase that body I'd always wanted and felt comfortable in. So now im lean and strong and muscled and feel better about myself than I ever have.” Abi: “The gym has greatly improved both my mental health and physical health. When I look better, I feel better. I also enjoy pushing myself to see if I can gain more stamina through more intense workouts.” Erin: “Definitely. It improves my mental well-being and shows me what I’m capable of, which makes me feel better about myself. As a lesbian, it allows me to fight stereotypes of women being weak/small and feel confident in a traditionally male cisheteronormative space. Also, my girlfriend likes my muscles.”</image:caption>

<image:title>Articles - “DYKES WHO GYM” - Izzy: “Working on my physique and strength in the gym massively helped with my self image, I finally had the confidence to be myself which then led me to building my own LGBTQ+ fitness business!” Val: “Through trauma and trials, the gym is the bedrock of my positive self-image. Your relationship with your body is sacred and no one can take it away. The inner strength I’ve cultivated over the years has let me flourish into the sexy, confident butch I see in the mirror.” Anon: “I would say it has begun to improve my self image even whilst not seeing a huge difference, I can feel the difference and actually attending to the gym has helped with my self image and confidence.” Kelsea: “Has the gym improved my self image? 100% I find being more muscular extremely affirming in my gender presentation as a butch lesbian. I feel a lot more comfortable in myself.” Gene: “Yeah definitely, as a non binary person its massively helped me present myself as more androgynous, and seeing physical improvements has balanced me out when I’ve not been so strong mentally..”</image:title>

<image:title>Articles - “Morning Rituals and Radical Queer Joy” - 1.- When do you feel the most joyful in your relationship, in a way that feels uniquely shared between both of you?</image:title>
<image:caption>Esme — “We feel most joyful in our relationship when we have quality time together. Our schedules can get really busy so the thought of us having a day off on a Sunday, visiting the seaside or somewhere in London, and grabbing a coffee that feels like a warm hug, is genuinely euphoric for us! Nothing says us like the sea, a nice coffee and then a cheeky pint after a walk together.” Georgia — “Also there’s nothing better than being in a social group for hours and then Irish exiting and it’s just us alone traveling home together. We will legit run down the road like little kids excited to get into our bed and cuddle.”</image:caption>

<image:title>Articles - “Morning Rituals and Radical Queer Joy” - 3.- Have there been moments where your joy felt radical or even defiant? What did that feel like?</image:title>
<image:caption>“A story that springs to mind with the term radical joy is New Year’s Eve 2025. We were in a predominately straight bar in Georgia’s home town and while that can be daunting at times, we spent the whole night dancing and showing our love so openly, while not caring who was watching. Near the end of the night, a lovely lady came up to us and said “I don’t want to sound weird but I have been watching you both all night and had to come and say hi. My daughter has just come out and I just pray that she finds a love that you both have.” In that moment our relationship felt like we were holding the torch for other people to see and express queer love themselves.”</image:caption>

<image:title>Articles - “Morning Rituals and Radical Queer Joy” - 5.- In what ways has your partner helped you understand yourself more deeply?</image:title>
<image:caption>Esme — “Georgia has really helped me step into my power which is amazing! I used to be SUCH a people pleaser and have struggled with my own boundaries in the past. Since being with G, she has allowed me to know my worth and learn the ability to say NO unapologetically. People who have known me for years have said that I have really ‘stepped into my own recently’ and I genuinely believe I have G to thank for a lot of that.” Georgia — “Esme has made me realize more than anything that I have worth outside of football. Most of my life my whole sense of self value was wrapped up in how well I was doing at football, which is obviously not healthy at all. Esme has been the only person I’ve ever met that makes me feel amazing about myself, she’s genuinely my biggest supporter. She’s also made me so much gayer (lol), and helped me understand my identity as a queer person. She’s so confident in her sexuality and it’s just infectious!”</image:caption>

<image:title>Articles - “Morning Rituals and Radical Queer Joy” - 7.- In what ways does your relationship feel like "coming home" to yourself?</image:title>
<image:caption>Esme — “Our relationship feels like home in the little things. Coming home after a long day at work and seeing G instantly relieves my stress, feeling pure comfort in her arms when I’m feeling anxious can completely calm me down. Forever knowing you have someone there, is truly home for me. I’ve always said G is my safety net in life. I feel like I can live more out of my comfort zone and try new things because I’ll always know G is there to pick me up and be my number one supporter.” Georgia — “I think Esme has just helped me find myself, and made me more myself than I have ever been. I’m not trying to be anyone else, or having to try to explain who I am to her. She gets me completely and loves me the exact way I need. I feel so seen with her. It’s something I’ve never experienced before, and it’s just incredibly calming. I know I can be 100% me and she’s going to love me completely. There’s no feeling that compares to knowing you have someone always backing you.”</image:caption>

<image:caption>Bonus.- If you were an item of clothing/accessory from your wardrobe, what would you be and why? Esme — “I absolutely love a graphic baby tee, bonus points if it says something cheeky on it. I have tees that say “bite me” and “dyke princess” on it. I love clothing that can spark conversation and represent my fun, bold and cheeky personality. I also love putting too many accessories on; sunnies, head wear and 100 rings? I’m super into expressing myself through language and words which is one of the many reasons I love to write little poems, journals or think pieces on anything and everything! I think that language is so beautiful and offers the ability to describe things beyond our comprehension and it has always helped me to voice feelings I didn’t even know existed! I also create watercolour pieces and I love all things art and collage! My Queerness and roots in Manchester have always been a big influence and inspiration on my works with my Lesbianism always pushing me to try and be a little outside of the norm, to express how I feel and to create a legacy for myself to remember all of the changes and experiences I’ve been through! My Lesbianism and my art work hand in hand with my Queerness going into everything I do and my art expressing a widely unseen and unchartered lesbian world! I think it’s super important to showcase lesbian history through art made by lesbians rather than the script being written about us!”</image:caption>

<image:title>Articles - “DEVOTEE” - Tell us a bit about the piece you're submitting! (Why did you write it, inspiration, why it's important etc.):</image:title>
<image:caption>“Without being crude the piece is about lesbian sex. I wanted to write a piece that showcased both a tender and more primal and exposing side of lesbian sexuality. I used common religious and worship related metaphors to kind of subvert their typical use and also to indicate how powerful and passionate lesbian sexuality can be - almost like an act of worship to one another… The piece really wants to showcase a primal force rather than infantilising or cottage-coreifying lesbian sexuality which I feel is really detrimental to many young lesbians and their understanding of lesbian sexuality and relationships. I wanted the piece to feel real and raw rather than a perfect, sanitised version of lesbianism - with my girlfriend as always being my biggest inspiration.”</image:caption>

      <image:title>Articles - “BOUND TO THE PYRE” - ARTIST BIO:</image:title>
<image:caption>“I’m a 20-year-old cinematographer based between Brighton and Manchester, currently studying Film Production at the University of Salford. I’m still at the beginning of my journey, but I’ve already fallen in love with the camera as a way of telling intimate, honest stories. My focus is on creating queer media that feels real, work that allows people to see themselves on screen in ways that are soft, messy, joyful, and true. I’m drawn to visual storytelling that captures subtle emotions and quiet moments, and I aim to build a body of work that feels both personal and accessible. So far, I’ve worked on short films, dance pieces, and collaborative projects where I’ve been able to explore different styles and techniques. Whether I’m shooting handheld or working with carefully composed frames, I’m always trying to find the most meaningful way to visually express a story. I’m especially inspired by queer filmmakers, raw indie cinema, and the kind of art that lingers long after it ends. Right now, I’m building my portfolio and looking for collaborators who share a love for emotionally-driven, inclusive storytelling.”</image:caption>

      <image:title>Small Businesses - “BAKED LESBEANZ” - Let’s talk business</image:title>
<image:caption>For Lucy, being a lesbian and creating lesbian-centered art are not separate parts of her life, they are deeply intertwined and inseparable. Her artistic expression is rooted in her identity, and much of the humor that characterizes her work comes directly from lived experience. Growing up, she encountered very few stories that accurately or positively reflected her experience as a lesbian. More often than not, the narratives that did exist were steeped in tragedy, shame, or invisibility. In response, she began creating the stories she wanted (and needed) to see: ones that are funny, unfiltered, emotionally rich, and above all, real. Lucy believes that queer life is not only valid but profoundly entertaining. It’s awkward, joyful, messy, heartfelt, and full of its own unique rhythms, inside jokes, unexpected connections, and emotional plot twists. Her art aims to celebrate that complexity with honesty and warmth. Through playful illustrations that feature food, drinks, bold colors, and cheeky quotes, she captures the humor and beauty of lesbian identity in everyday life. Her brand, Croissant Culture, is an extension of that mission. It reflects the many layers that make up each individual-quirky, soft, bold, and complex. Just like a croissant, every person carries layers of experience, identity, and personality. Lucy’s work invites people to show those layers proudly, whether through expressive home decor or wearable art that makes a statement in the world. Through her art, she offers not only visibility, but a sense of joy and belonging for the lesbian community.</image:caption>
